Original UNADOPTED Street/Road Sign

Original street sign painted with raised letters. Of course, it's an unusual name for a sign but its also missing the raised U which has been painted back on a long time ago.

We have done a little research, it could be from a street in Newtown South Wales which is no longer named Unadopted. It's also the case that streets which are privately owned and so not government maintained are also called Unadopted but don't usually have signs. As you will gather we don't know much but we love it anyway.
